A little something about DADZ Custom Wraps…

Hi, I’m Nick, aka “Dad”, of DADZ Custom Wraps!

A group of nine people, including adults and children, dressed in formal attire, posing for a photo indoors against a wooden wall.

I’m a dad of eight (8) wonderful and amazing children and, as of now, one magnificent daughter in-law!

As you can see, there’s never a dull moment in life, a life that can never be traded for anything, and a life where you’re given so much!

About the name…

The name “DADZ” came from an idea I had with the prestige plates we put on our vehicles. My children’s mother has a 2022 Ford Explorer ST and I have a 2017 Ford Focus ST. Since we both had ST trims on our vehicles, I thought it would be a cool and fun idea to put “MAHZ ST” for her vehicle (aka Ma’s; you’ll learn later about the Boston accent) and I put “DADZ ST” on mine. Later, when I was trying to figure out a name for my new business, the “DADZ” really stuck with me because everyone who saw me get out of my car was shocked a “dad” would be driving it!

You know that white Focus ST with the custom purple/black hexagon wrap on my home page…yep, you guessed it…that’s my daily driver!

So, it was only fitting to put DADZ Custom Wraps as the name the business. And I don’t have to change the plate either!

About me…dad…

It all began in Melrose, MA where I was born and raised. A place where I was given a life, a family and a church to grow up in, and many life changing experiences which led me to where I am today. Let’s just say the 80’s was a great decade! And no…I nevah pahked my cah in Hahvahd yahd. If I did, it wouldah been wicked awesome!

Growing up I always had a knack of doing things with my hands. Whether it was taking my toys apart to see how they were made or to see what was inside them; to climbing trees and making things out of branches, sticks, electrical tape, and a little imagination. I always worked on by bikes, taking the tires and chain off and putting them back together. If something could be taken apart, I wanted to do it.

As I got older and was able drive, it then transitioned into tinkering around with vehicles. Having others around to show me things made all the difference in wanting to work, fix, or modify a vehicle. From there, I’ve always enjoyed vehicles, particularly sports cars, and always wanting to modify or change something. I started out with a ‘87 Ford Mustang 5.0 hatchback and taking that to the New England Dragway in Epping, NH. Since then, I just had to do something with all my vehicles. And yes, those racing stripes do get you those extra HP’s! haha

I graduated from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School in Haverhill, MA. I got my diploma in Machine Technology (machinist), but after graduation, I then began working for my dad in carpentry, remodeling homes and building additions. I come from a generational family of tradesman. My life really began to change when I saw I had a skillset working with my hands and being able to do finish carpentry; learning patience and thinking ahead to prepare for a finished product.

As I continued to grow, getting married and having a family, things got tough financially and couldn’t afford many things, but God always provided. That said, I didn’t have the money to hire someone to fix or repair anything, so I had to repair and fix everything myself. And yes, I mean everything…whether it was the home, appliances, vehicles, or whatever else, I dove into the problems trusting in the Lord. With the help of the Lord, I was able to find or create the solutions to get things done.

Needless to say, over time, if I wanted to do something to modify or change in my cars, I did it. Whether it was tinting windows, modifying exhausts, accessories, certain over-hauls, painting and body work, etc. I learned how to do it and did it. It wasn’t my life to do these things, but I do like certain things and did it for enjoyment. Others like to play golf, run, exercise, hunt, watch sports, bird watch, fish, collect firearms, ride motorcycles, and many other things. Although I like and enjoy some of those things, the sound of a nice exhaust and the pull of a winding turbo is just as relaxing for me. But it wasn’t so much the finished product as it was the process of getting there. I continued to change my vehicles because it was just as relaxing for me as going fishing…being alone with my God and worshipping Him. So when I came across vinyl wrapping, and learned how to do that, I found a new desire arise in me!

I wrapped my first car a couple of years ago and it felt like I was young again. I had such great enjoyment and fascination with it, amazed at the technology and the ability of the product to stretch, curve, bend, and be manipulated, and then its ability to return back to its normal state without damage. Especially installing the product, it was so relaxing and challenging at the same time. Being able to figure things out and create a beautiful, finished product, I give God all the glory each and every time.

Needless to say, with my lifelong experience of working with my hands and having the proper mindset of understanding finished products, you’re going to get quality service from DADZ Custom Wraps!

God’s redeeming work…

I, like many others, have faced many hardships and life changing events, having to make decisions based upon those events. Sadly, in my past, I had made some poor decisions, decisions you can’t sugar coat, but was plain old sin (Mark 7:20-23 & Galatians 5:19-21). These decisions caused much heartache in my life and those around me, facing the point of death at times, but I was later redeemed by the grace of God, through His Son Jesus Christ!

Jesus, through the Spirit of God, revealed Himself to me and showed me who He was and what He could do in and through me. I took Jesus at His Word when He said, “…Truly, truly I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3 & 3:16-21) and I put my faith in Him alone (Romans 10:9-13 & Ephesians 2:8,9) and that’s where life truly began and I was changed forever!

I was shown I had a Heavenly Father, a Creator, a Dad, who truly loved and cared for me. Because of this relationship I now have with Jesus Christ, through faith, my eyes and ears were opened to the Truth, where I could see my life before the Lord and hear His voice when He said “I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you really knew Me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.” (John 14:6,7). Ever since this moment became a reality, I have learned to cry out to God as “Abba, Father!” (Romans 8:14-17 & Galatians 4:6,7).

As I continued to grow and mature in my faith in Jesus Christ, the Lord began to bless me at work and brought into my life a marriage and my own family. I learned in whatever I had and whatever I did, I was to do it to, and for, the glory of God through Jesus Christ! (1 Corinthians 10:31-33, Colossians 3:17 & 3:23,24).

Did difficulties and hardships stop in my life? By no means! I still faced them, including all sorts of other trials and temptations, but He-Jesus-was with me. Was I perfect through it all? By no means! I found out it was He-Jesus Christ- in me, through the Spirit of God, who was perfect through it all and continued to love me, forgiving me whenever I cried out to Him (1 John 1:8-2:2), and learning His mercies are new everyday (Lamentations 3:21-24). Because of His great love, I was able to also forgive others no matter what (Matthew 6:14,15 & Ephesians 4:30-32), and whatever I faced; whether it be loss of jobs, possessions, marriage, friends or family, sickness or death…I can still rejoice in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Why? Because HE-Jesus Christ- is the Hope of glory for everyone who puts their faith in Him!

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the Hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, Hope. ‍ ‍And Hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (Romans 5:1-5)

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8)

Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” (Romans 5:9-11)

Every hardship and trial I have faced became a steppingstone for the work of God’s glory in my life and those around me!

Up to this point today, nearly 30 years later, Jesus Christ is still Lord and Savior of the world, and I will continue to rejoice in Him! I will continue to seek His face and glorify His name in all things! No matter what losses, difficulties, or hardships may come my way, I know He has a plan and a purpose for it all! (Romans 8:26-30)

So, I encourage you as well, to go before the Lord Jesus Christ and confess your sins and repent of your ways. “…for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23). For Jesus has even said and preached, “…Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17). And when you do, you’ll be amazed at the rejoicing that occurs in heaven over your decision to obey the voice of Him who brought you to this point of salvation! For Jesus said, “…I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.” and “…I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:1-32)

You, just like me, are dearly loved by our Creator and were made for the very purpose of His glory and love. Jesus said, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and the one who knocks it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7,8). Ask of Jesus…seek after Jesus…knock before Him…with a sincere and contrite heart (Psalm 51:17). Jesus is who He says He is!

“Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, ‘Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts…’” (Hebrews 3:1-4:13).
